Dancing to "These Arms of Mine"
My 27th dance was an incredibly special one—a performance to the iconic song "These Arms of Mine" from Dirty Dancing. From the moment I decided to dance to this piece, I knew it would be a deeply emotional and personal experience. I’ve always adored this song and the movie, which holds a special place in my heart. The classic line, "Nobody puts Baby in the corner," resonates with me on many levels, serving as a reminder to embrace my own light and step into the spotlight unapologetically.
Capturing the Mood
To honor the emotion and intimacy of the song, I chose to record this dance in a studio. This setting allowed me to create a dark, intimate ambiance that reflected the mood perfectly. I wanted the setting of the studio to be transformed into a cozy and romantic space. Candles flickered softly across the floor.
One of my favorite elements of the setup was a standee I designed and crafted myself. It mimicked the look of a room divider, adding depth and texture to the background. This touch brought a feeling of privacy and elegance to the scene, as though I was performing in a secluded room.

As the music began to play, I felt every note and lyric resonate through me. The choreography was designed to reflect the vulnerability and passion of the song.
